Size guide

Each item will have been measured and all relevant measurements are included in the description, we do this as oppose to stating what is on the label due to the fact they tend to vary massively.
Many factors affect what true size items are such as:
  • Brand of item.
  • Age of item.
  • How much wear the item has.
  • Country of origin.
  • And even completely wrong labels (this is often seen in the case of "deadstock" which is stock that have never been worn due to manufacturing errors).
Pleas note, we use the Small, Medium, Large .etc as a general guide, please read all measurements to avoid disappointment.
The measurments we use are:
  • Armpit to armpit (pit to pit)
  • Total length
  • Pit to cuff
  • Waist
  • Collar
  • Chest/bust
This is how to measure said areas, please use a flexible measuring tape:
  • Pit to pit: Measure from one armpit seam to the other across the front of the t-shirt that fits you well.
  • Total length: We always measure the total length of the item from where the item would sit. A shirt, for example, we would measure from under the collar not the top edge of the collar. Some clothing lines to have a tall size, so the clothing is made a couple of inches longer, and some times second hand T-shirts will have some shrinkage. We will indicate if an item is from a 'Tall range' or if an item falls short of long of the usual length for an item of its size.
  • Pit to cuff: Please measure on a shirt that is the correct arm length for you, the distance from the pit seam to the edge of the cuff, or alternatively, if you hold your arm out at a 45 degree angle from your torso, and measure from the middle of your arm pit to where you'd ideally like the cuff to sit.

  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline where you would typically wear your trousers/jeans/skirts etc.

  • Collar: This is only applicable to collared shirts that you'd wear with a tie or fully buttoned up, so may not be relevant to you. But here's how to measure anyway. Place the measuring tape around your neck, just below your Adam's apple, where the collar of a shirt would normally sit. Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight. You should be able to comfortably fit a finger between the tape and your neck. Shirts collar sizes are usually done in increments of half an inch. For example: 15in, 15.5in, 16in, 16.5in etc.
  • Chest/bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits, and across your shoulder blades / Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Measurement Tips:

  • Chest / Bust: Ensure the measuring tape is parallel to the ground and not too tight or too loose. Make sure it's snug but comfortable.
  • Armpit to Armpit: Lay a garment that fits you well on a flat on a surface and measure from one armpit seam to the other, across the front of the garment.
  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest part of your torso.

For more accurate results, it's best to have someone assist you with measuring.

When in doubt between sizes, it's often advisable to choose the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
