The Chippewa or Ojibwe people have many bands residing from The Great Lakes of Southern Canada to the American Mid-West.

They are renowned for their intricate and colourful beaded art, and often feature floral designs.

This tassel jacket is a beautiful example of this tribe's work. It features the beadwork both back and front. The suede, possibly moose, is soft and supple. The pockets, the tassel seams and collar edges feature scalloped edges. All beads in the design are present, as are all the tassels.

The collars are really stylish and very typical of the era. It has a lining on the body and a talon zip also.

Measurements: pit to pit 24in / 46-48in chest. Length of this jacket is 27in and the sleeve length is 19in (pit to cuff).

This jacket is worn, the suede has areas that are slightly dirty, there is a hole in the back, and also there is a stain to the lining (all photographed).
